I hired American Van Lines to move me from Salt Lake City to Atlanta. They subcontracted the service to a random hauler who showed up at my house late, charged me $271 for 5 carboard boxes and a couple of rolls of moving tape (he wouldn't load certain items unless they were in boxes even though I told him that I did not want them boxed) and took 2 weeks to deliver my stuff. He lost my new $400 bike and the company will only reimburse $.60 a pound for lost items so at best I'm going to get about $20 for a $400 bike.

Even though I sold items and had less stuff than when I originally got an estimate from them I was charged more. Obviously there is no way that you can weigh everything you own before it goes on a truck so I'm sure that I got ripped off there too.

They are theives and customer service hardly ever answers the phone or returns emails. BEWARE- not not use American Van Lines for your move!! 12937f0
